Vintage Gentleman’s Felt Spatterdashes (Spats) Size 7 . (Ref:RH8)

Description

Spats is an abbreviation of ‘spatterdash’, a sartorial concept born in 18th Century England as a protective accessory for military officers’ boots against mud. By the early 20th Century, spats or gaiters were widely worn by both men and women and even integrated into shoes and boots.

These pairs are all Vintage pre-Loved.

Usually in Excellent condition but as they were of course worn over shoes on the ground.. wear marks and scuffs are inevitable

Date: Not stated. most probably 40’s/50’s

Condition. pre loved MISSING ONE STRAP

Some marks and scuffs but generally very good
